Security

Security, that's all I ask, To be safe and secure in Your arms. Protected from the elements, Protected from all harm. To know beyond a single doubt, That I can count on You, To know that I'll not be denied, When my time on earth is through, And when I lay me down at last, To take my final rest, I'll do so in assurance, That I have passed my test; Not because I did so well, Or because I never failed, But because despite it all, My faith has never paled; Because You stayed close by me, Even when I knew You not, Protecting, loving, guiding me, Though Your laws I had forgot. There was so much I wanted, That I would not achieve, And looking back upon it all, I'm sorry You were grieved. I want to thank You for my life, For standing in the ranks, Waiting there to catch me, Like a Father, Dear God, Thanks.
