Notes About The Poem
It's so important to let Him know that you believe in and appreciate Him. We are made in His image so when we ignore Him He feels it just like we do when we are ignored by the people we love.
Security
Security, that's all I ask,
To be safe and secure in Your arms.
Protected from the elements,
Protected from all harm.
To know beyond a single doubt,
That I can count on You,
To know that I'll not be denied,
When my time on earth is through,
And when I lay me down at last,
To take my final rest,
I'll do so in assurance,
That I have passed my test;
Not because I did so well,
Or because I never failed,
But because despite it all,
My faith has never paled;
Because You stayed close by me,
Even when I knew You not,
Protecting, loving, guiding me,
Though Your laws I had forgot.
There was so much I wanted,
That I would not achieve,
And looking back upon it all,
I'm sorry You were grieved.
I want to thank You for my life,
For standing in the ranks,
Waiting there to catch me,
Like a Father, Dear God, Thanks.
