Secrets

Such a small word, can possess so much power. It's a term meant to keep something silent but once revealed can become even louder. If one feels lucky enough to throw the dice of chance, they might find out that curiosity did indeed kill the cat. We use this word so loosely, as if it had no meaning. Most of us even take advantage of what we could be hearing. Some don't think of what they could be revealing but those who have gambled their chips in right, may end up being delighted in what they are now seeing. Secrets do however have a way of bringing certain people together because some of us believe that it binds them with the ones they love forever. At times it comes in a way we do not expect. Those who are clever enough can see who is or who isn't a suspect. They choose the right time to reveal bits and pieces of who they really are. At the same time, making sure that they have not revealed to much and gone too far. There comes a time a secret can become more than one. They shield away the truth of what really has been done. They shelter someone from what could have been their fate while leaving the dirt behind in an unusual state. However this particular use of the word, can have a way of coming out. Either someone else may already know, or even the secret keeper himself may decide to shout. This word has already done so much damage to the human race. Concealing or revealing what is the truth about ones face. Although so small, it possesses power to us all. In the beginning it was barely even a word, while one great being looked at it with much concern. They gave it a meaning, something it now holds. All what's left is for the truth behind it to be told.
