Secrets
Guilt knaws at my stomach,
And worries my heart.
It wraps around my throat
And squeezes harshly,
Stealing the breath
Right from my lungs.
Unease settles somewhere
Deep in my core,
An aching fear of secrets
that may not make it
to the grave.
