Secret Sadness
i think a part of me knows
something’s missing.
i feel something empty in my chest and the empty is not easily filled.
if it is filled,
it’s usually for a short period of time,
and then it disappears into the abyss of my heart.
my heart is warm,
my heart is pure,
but my heart holds a secret sadness.
it’s a sadness that tries to take over my happy.
this time i won’t let it win.
