Secret Place

Yesterday, in an attempt to
escape from a tempest in reality
I find a house in a misty forest
not too far from a shore
left behind by God's grace
In this house, I can feel peace
and His love without a hint of fear
Feeling hungry,
I go out back to the garden
to harvest bundles of fruit
fulfilling a healthy happiness
in my heart forever
No more running and no more nightmares
I am forgotten by society
nothing more than a ghost,
a shadow in its memory
finally free to sleep
in the crimson sunset forever
