Second To None
I found you,
Lost in a crowd,
Yet there was no one around,
You were my only one,
You were second to none.
I thought you were mine,
Someone to hold my hand,
And lead me in the future,
You were second to none.
Whenever I see you,
It’s a reminder of a past,
Of broken promises,
Dreams that won’t last,
No one to take your place,
I was never yours,
Yet you had a place in my heart,
You were my forever,
My second to none.
