Second Thoughts

Blessed indeed are those who have second thoughts,
Believe in second chances,
And bring second choices to the table,
Because first thoughts,
Belie the need for caution lest they,
Become seeds of destruction for the many.

The story of human existence,
Tells us how first thoughts,
Though not likely to overheat our brain,
Take us too often to the well,
To see a future without a second thought,
That might have given us a second chance.

That's very kind of you. My poetry seems to be flowing at the moment. I am in a good space. Hope the same applies for you. Regards David in NZ
