Second Skin

last night,
          my mind wore you
as if you were
          my favorite shirt.
such was my longing
          for you
i had no time
          to count sheep
instead,
          i counted days left
before you return
          nagging thoughts of you
consume me like...
          second skin.

Written with the true originality of Edward Ibeh! Very clever. Wonderful metaphor Edward. Best wishes for the contest. Blessings and prayers for the new year.
