You are light thrown Across the open field Brilliant, illuminating Feelings wild and warm Revealing your soul An open door You are kindness smiling Twinkling, vibrating Soft in the blue skies Like hope falling In raindrops, liquid dreams Opening new doors You are the whisper The caress of a song Melody that lingers Through thoughts, long Moments whistling In open doors You are the passion Filling up my heart Breaking away decay Where sorrow wept Left its dread and grief Opening doubts You are reminding me Of laughter and tears Gentleness and peace Second chances, prayers Praise that lingers In open doors You are the one I call my husband And the reason I cling to the moment With endless faith Opening the doors The doors to your heart Are worn and frayed Grounded in memories Threadbare from use And still alive, dancing With the joy of love This is my second chance And I’m opening that door!
