Second Chances

We’re given second chances thru the years
Chances to rearrange life thru the tears
To show remorse, apologize, remake
 A life reinvented, another take…

What did you do when hands reached up to lift
You from despair, or did you stay adrift?
Those simple gestures might not come again
A chance to find hope, let healing begin!

Is it not right to give others the same?
Reach out, lift them up, no judgement, no blame
Allow them to grow beyond when they failed
Move forward, walk straight, their life again hailed?

When second chances are given to you
Share them with others, embrace life anew!
