Second Chance

Who could have known the fire begun So many years ago would burn Again as brightly as before, So hot and fierce with blooming flames Who could have known that feelings kept Interred in tombs of faded love, Whose cold, forgotten bones lay dead, Would rise, and walk, and live again Who could have known that life would give A second chance to hold the heart, Once left behind so long ago, Now warmly wrapped between my arms.
