Seasons of Gladness
Seasons come, seasons go,
even though we may wish it weren't so.
But each season has a time and place,
bringing its own beauty and grace.
The year begins with ice and snow!
But we stay warm by the fire's warm glow.
Then by the time daylight shows,
snow balls are flying, with heavy blows.
But after many months of winter's fun,
everyone wants some warmth and sun.
That is when spring arrives,
adding cheer and glee to everyone's lives.
Daffodils, daisies, what could be better!
Everyone is loving this beautiful weather.
Then along comes beautiful summer.
No one can turn away this newcomer!
Pool parties are held, picnics are enjoyed,
children race outdoors with kites to be deployed.
By now the heat is beginning to cool down.
Then fall comes and the leaves turn brown.
With crimson, yellow, orange, and red!
Pumpkin pies, apple cider, enough said!
So while we may long for the cold when its hot,
or the heat when it most definitely is not,
we should appreciate each season for its unique things
fall, summer, winter and spring!
