Seasons Ii

She sits at the sofa
playing solitaire on her
google tablet.

I sit at the kitchen table
with my computer contemplating
my next line
neither of us speaks-SILENCE
neither breaks the void.

     Her heart breaks
     and so does mine.

It has been this way
since I can't remember or even
care to. Love slips away
so slowly yet so certain
     like the seasons-
     like the years.

where love and life once lived,
there's nothing left but silence.

And yet, I seek to draw my husband in! Life and its battles... sigh. Regardless I feel blessed.

How sad when silence takes the place of constant chatter. Like the ocean waves that move and recede, we need to constantly plant the seed, and pull out the weed, and if it is right it will last. I pray its fictional. Have a wonderful day dear Allen.
