Seasons

Showers in the summertime,
A rare treat.
The rain against my skin
Washes away my fears.
Everything that is built within.
Without it I might burst with sorrow.
Flowers in the springtime
An annual treat.
Brings me sweet joy
And lets me know with a new season
Brings greater blessings.
The winds of the fall
I look forward to them
A cool breeze
Reminds me that after the storm
Comes a calm breeze and feeling of security.
Snow in the winter
A rare treat in Mississippi heat
That lets me
When I was washed in His blood
I came out white as snow.
The season bring about a new feeling for me
Something I look forward to often
And don't recall ever living without.
Just like the seasons bring me all these things
So does God the Father.
He brings me joy in sorrow,
Peace in the time of storm
Triumph after the storm
And saved me from my sins and a burning hell
