Seasons

Leaves are turning orange and brown Autumn brings a regretful frown of Summer days, that never came As fog rolls in across the bay. Falling leaves form natures quilt The summer flowers begin to wilt The garden air is moist and still Short days soon return for the house on the hill.

A truly lovely poem Wendy. I like the line,’Falling leaves form natures quilt’ in particular. Very poetic. I do love autumn and this captures it beautifully. Thank you for sharing and here’s to a glorious, mild autumn before the blight of winter. Warmest wishes.
