Seasons
Seasons
Plants pushing out their last spurts of growth and flowers
Beginning to slowly recognize the coolness of the approaching season
Summer slowly giving way
The temperature gradually dropping
Fall begins to reign and flourish
Painting tree leaves in a kaleidoscope of color
Triggering countless acorn showers
Awakening the instinct of squirrels and forest creatures
To begin storing food or searching for shelter
For hibernation or sleep
Tree leaves rapidly dropping leaving bare tree branches
As the temperature rapidly plummets
Heralding the start of Winter
Strong bitter cold wind fiercely blowing
Snow storms blanketing the land in crisp white
Starkly contrasting against the gray sky
Causing a turning inward for many months
Daydreaming of the warmth, blue sky, and new growth
Of the upcoming Spring
