Seasons

I am the snow I am the rain
I am the leafless skeletal trees
I am the ice on the village pond
I am the frost that makes everything freeze

I am the first shoots peeking through
I am the birds that nest
I am the first hint of new life
I am a welcome guest

I am the sun bright in the sky
I am the heat of the day
I am the holiday by the blue sea
But sadly I cannot stay

I am the golden leaves on the trees
I am the cold red sun
I am the mist the rain and the fog
I am the chill when the day is done

We are the seasons, we come and go
We are a friend and a foe
Your constant companions throughout your life
We follow wherever you go
