white blanket recedes soft streams begin their journey~ life awakes from sleep. sunshine warms the slopes tiny rivulets now flow~ earth drinks deeply now. green shoots sprout from soil whispers of sweet spring at hand~ winter's grip undone. a gentle farewell to the quiet, freezing world~ nature's sweet rebirth.
