Seaside Nostalgia

As I wandered free and easy, all along The sandy shore, Dipping toes into the sea edge, listening to The tidal roar. Surrounded by the sounds of summer, heated by The sun, Noisy, strutting seagulls eating, Laughing children having fun. I came upon a punch and Judy, loud and raucous, puppet show, Fond memories of a childhood stirred, is it that long ago? Oh! no it isn't Punch, said Judy, Oh! Yes it is the kid's replied, It's right behind you they insisted, hurry! hurry!go and hide. Donkey rides, passed by, and as I reached the pier, I thought, I'll have an ice cream, or perhaps a pint of beer. for tea some fish and chips, before it gets too Late, A day out at the seaside, is nostalgia on a plate.
