Her first taste of the water Was filled with excitement She moved through liquid Like dolphin swim delightedly She swam and swam so long That we had to call her out For she’d stayed in the water Until her skin was contracted Since she was only two then We didn’t have a clue just Where her swimming came She was born with the instinct We called her a little mermaid Since the very first swim that year When she taught us all just how To enjoy a dip in the clear azure Where liquid promises make you Feel like you’ve been given a treasure Of inspiration and enlightenment, Gifts from the seas of enchantment
