Searching For the Light

Seems like I’m always searching for the light
As I wander alone through the cold dark night
Searching for a truth that seems so out of reach
Like the sand running through my fingers on a beach

Do I think I will ever find it now
I don’t know if I have the know how
So I stand just a face in the crowd
Wondering if it is even allowed

So do you keep on searching
And forever do you keep on reaching
For something that I still am waiting
Wandering alone in the dark anticipating.
