Searching For the Blue Rose

I saw a movie when I was a child called the blue rose I know that was the name of it It was a movie of love and romance Including a handsome man dressed like Aladdin and a gorgeous princess who had luxuriously shiny black hair They were a beautiful couple. I remember it was one of the best movies I have ever seen. it was luxuriously lovely. I still have dreams of it. To this day I have never found this movie. It possibly had another name, but the blue rose is what I recall. I was about nine years old when I saw it. Any clues as to what this movie is called? I am breathlessly waiting. Hoping it is as gorgeous as my imagination remembers.

Caren, could it have been The Thief of Bagdad from 1961? This is a delightful bit of nostalgia. Thanks for inviting all of us into helping you solve the mystery. Sending you Thanksgiving blessings with all of the trimmings!

I wish I knew! So many old movies. I adored them at the time. Todays movies in their modernity don’t always produce a satisfying feeling…poetry (meaning the beauty of their words and flow) has gone from them, the art, they are too fast moving. Those action movies leave my head so fast especially superhero movies. It’s like a thrill ride with no quality! Yada yada yada…lol
