Searching For New Praise

A Prayer Of Jacob This, Lord Jesus is my goal --- to discover a single word of praise not spoken since that time so long ago you took my place. My Lord, I seek so hard to find that unique phrase or choice of words not spoken until they pass my lips in praise of you. I search for some unsung song that is mine alone to give. Even though the passion in my heart is known to you, still I long to sing your glory in tones unused before. My love for you looks for expression in phrases that are not worn by ages of overuse, no matter how sincere their intent. Precious Savior, it is not special favor that I seek, but only to still this anxious heart. Lord, hear me, even as I search. Entry for Catie Lindsey's contest Contest: Poems of Praise

I know what you mean Jake. Sometimes when I'm deep in thought spiritually, I feel as if I hear a song not sung yet, something so precious and special our tongues cannot wrap around the words. I pray that someday I will be there singing the new song. You will probably like the song of praise I wrote lately I do have the music in my head for this one. It's called Song of Praise.
