Searching
We all have a need to be wanted
Some find the love for which they are searching
Others take something less
And end up with a lot of hurting
Life has no guarantee to give us our desires
We search for the missing feelings
Ending up wondering what we had missed
Not getting anything that is even appealing
Wanting love is not a guarantee
That we will get the person we desire
Nothing is ever going to happen
Unless we get to light the fire
We struggle on with the search
Going from one to another
Hoping against hope
That we will find the one, the other
The one person who will complete us
Stop our search and our wanting
The true love that we search for
The love that is forever haunting
