Seagull

I fly high into the sky I soar and soar alone I am a little seagull The seas and oceans are my home Over the waves I wander I meet others on my way We huddle and create memories And then we depart away A lonely life I lead Across the valleys and hills From shore to shore I ponder And dive into the deep blue seas I love to sing and chatter I love the sun at dawn I love the shells that wobble And the radiant hues of morn I envy nobody Nobody cares when I am gone I am just a happy little birdie And my life goes on and on Winner: 1st position I am a bird- Personification poetry contest 18th July, 2020 Sponsor: Tania Kitchin
