The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Sea, Sky and Earth

I went to see my swelling wave,
Gold was her crest hair flowing.
She swelled into my mind so brave
That all my thoughts were glowing.
We sailed the winds till sky grew dark,
Our kiss was like a giant spark;
The moon had filled our sails with light
For love-life's triumph over night.
I held her hand, and she held mine;
Our bodies met in a current fine.
The bubbled beatings of breath and limb
Swirled in froth ofa worshipping hymn.
Body and body and soul to soul,
Alive and desiring, drowning, whole,
Drowned in joy of 'lectric might
Shocking the fingertips, eyelids, tongue,
Till fresh word spoken is heard flesh sung.
"O Love, the current runs from my toes far south
(Deep pulling-tide and white-cap of my being);
I float upon the motions of your mouth,
My palms press mountains smouldering."

No more can one man say
Whose Love is night and day,
Nor more can one man rise
Than to Love's sea of eyes.
