Notes About The Poem

Sea Sand and Sun

At last it’s time to go and play and visit our beach hideaway to sunbathe Pure paradise, there are no crowds bright azure sky without white clouds just sunshine Our children paddle in the sea we picnic under a palm tree with sunshades Kid’s faces beam with pure delight, we’ve a beach barbecue tonight at sunset Wake to another golden morn Sweet birdies singing herald dawn watch sunrise Compounding The Verse Poetry Contest Sponsored by Joseph May 06/05/20

Thanks so much Joseph:-) there were about 10 people on our local beach yesterday, people are observing lockdown very well and we have only had 1 new case in 5 days - i see some beaches in the Uk are jam packed ... lets see if they get a huge spike in a few weeks. Hope you are keeping well:-) hugs Jan xx

Who doesn't love a tale of a sunny summer day? Excellent choice of a root word, and lovely knitting together a tale of a family at the shore. Congratulations, my friend ~ John

Compound verse is not easy to tackle, Jan, due to certain limitations, but you have done really well. Sea, sand and sun are so near and yet so far away!! Hugs // paul
