Sea of Voices
Why do I talk?
When the sound is lost in a sea of voices
Lost among the waves of a never-ending storm
Never to be heard of or acknowledged
Why do I speak?
When other people create tsunamis
Capsizing my ship of lost dreams
The mass going overboard, taking all with it
Why do I cry out?
When the voices inside my head are the only company
Their echoing being the only response I get
Sirens that lure me into promises that don't exist
So instead, I sob in whispers
And from the tears, create a salt filled ocean
My tears and voice lost forever in time
In an infinite sea of voices
