Sea of Roses

Sea of Roses
Majesty poses
in a beautiful clump
of red petals, plump
with dew drops 
and nature's props
that melt into the picture,
an expanse of deep bold
velvet cups that fold
within to form the flower
of love that has power
to make people sigh
and opens toward the sky
until their magnificence fades
and the grass blades
overtake the rose sea
and sets them free
