. Harbor waits Horizon beckons . wooden piles gangplank set . provisions stowed hopes engaged . anchor lifted moorings dropped . leave the jetty legs are jelly . beyond breakwater following swells . decks rolling seasick pills . land fading below horizon . compass steadies doubts gather . wind commands green about gills . feet unsteady grab the rails . sea controls balance elusive . rolling eases ride the swells . smooth riding bent 'n healing . lift more sails unwind myself . SEA LEGS . deck surges sea is churning . moving with it living with it . swell rhythmic 12-bar blue riffs . on my way horizon calls . waves over deck rocked to sleep . keel grips stomach firms . storms expected trials to come . clouds darken reef the sails . lightning flashes life jacket on . wave smashes sweeps the deck . lock the wheel auto-pilot engaged . bring it on feeling steady . making ground half-way there . hatches sealed warm in cabin . Sea boots off In my socks
