Sea Cave
A sea cave hides beneath the sandstone cliffs
where livid waters pound its rocky walls
and eerie squawks of gulls resound in waves
as stinging sea salt droplets spray my eyes.
For I have crawled into this domed enclave
to feel the pulse of nature's untamed world
and smell the wildness of these pungent scents
as bracing waves splash quickly round my feet.
For here is where my soul embraces God
to listen to His voice resound in tides
it cleanses weary thoughts trapped in my mind
I'm baptized once again into His love.
