SCRIBBLING HOPE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
morning frost etches promises on every windowpane~ a year unwritten, white as snowfall, quiet as the hush between breaths. dreamers and poets~ optimists scribbling hope with numb fingers, believing the cold will thaw into something we dare to name.
So many words we've written never see the light of day, so few do, with those, goes hope
Scribbling hope with numb fingers is relatable. I like the image of the cold thawing, rather than ice or snow - conveys something untangible, I think.
‘Quiet as the hush between breaths’ hooked me, Sara. I’m not a great fan of free verse but enjoyed this in all its chilly tranquility
