Screams After Midnight

In between slices of pain,

there are the scars we want

the scars we carry

the scars we pay for.....

I never ask the time.I just count the screams after midnight.

Trees always seem to fall when a trail

is followed on elbows and knees

There just isn't enough candles

to go around

for the man

who stays drunk forever
