Screaming in Silence
Screaming in Silence
In the depths of my soul, a cry echoes through
A scream in silence, only You can hear it true
Doubts creep in, like shadows on the wall
"Is Your presence real? Do You hear me at all?"
I pray for sunshine, for light in the night
But rain keeps falling, and darkness takes flight
My plans, so carefully laid, crumble to dust
Half the time, it seems, Your way is not my trust
If i never understand, or ever see the promise land
Yet, I'll choose to trust, though unanswered prayers am gone trust the way you work even if it breaks me.
Remain a mystery, beyond my mortal cares
Your ways, oh Lord, are not my own
But I'll surrender, and make Your will my home
In the silence, I'll wait for Your voice
A whisper of hope, a gentle, loving choice
To guide me through trials, and testing times
And prove Your promise, that You're always on my mind
Though doubts assail, and fears arise
I'll stand on Your word, and lift my weary eyes
To the hills of hope, where faith is made
And trust that Your goodness, will forever be displayed
Even when answers don't come, as I desire
I'll rest in Your sovereignty, and Your heart's fire
For You, oh Lord, are good, and just, and true
And Your plans, though hidden, will see me through.
So if you give or if you take i will let you lead the way even if it breaks me
