Scratch Marks

There is a solitude
at the core of beauty
that holds to a silence
when interrogated
by the mind. It stays
fixed in the moment
whilst I move
leaving the marks
from my grasping nails
scratched across time.

I read this on loop for a moment, until the loop kind of became the point and the poem. Interesting as always.
