Scrap Wood For oboes
Deacon Seat was used as a table.33 Nosebags were being packed with breakfast and lunch.
The northern winds had diplaced all the laundry and the canvas awning had been Sky West and Crooked.Daylight in the Swamp had been called, the men had wakened to off for a long day far away. A gallon of maple syrup, 5 gallons of coffee: and two pots to reheat it was on the front seat of the teuck, we needed 4 Catskinners and 5 Knot Bumpers: so we could get the job done. I called them knuckleheads and gave them instructions to stay the hell outta the way. I told these navise guys to sit in the camper until I called them so they would be outta the way while trees were ah falling. Clearing limbs was easiest if done right, take your time and when all the felled trees had become managible sized log they could go back into the trailer and wait until the next batch came up. I aint want no one under 21 so that we could fully manage our doings without any regret. We said we were gonna do 2 days of work in one day. While we were nearing our goal 4 of those ulta light helicopters fly over and landed in an opening we had cleared. I couldn't recognize them at first but when I did I frowned thinking something was wrong. Good news: these jerks came out to tell us the contracts for a job that was less work and a high yeild and profit had come up and we were chose to do, They had the contract and I signed it. They lefted 20 bags of Gripple Burgers and fries (still warm)
and headed back to the camp. We quicked our pace and started back, what we lefted behind would be gotten-up days later, so we scrambled to leave hours before sunset. Those brugers hit the spot but those door knobs and bacon had stuck to our gut and the coffee was so thick we could spoon it up like icecream, I'm exaggerating but that belly Burglar cook of ours needed a good talking too.One of those Knuckleheads played the accordain all the way home. Turned out to be a interesting time.
