Scotch Pine Guards and Sun

Scotch pine guards solemnly keep forest secrets
Walking steadily in the cold wet stuff, we marvel
At the beauty of Mother Sun shining above pine guards.
Sunlit glory protecting mystical, magical forest nuances.
With her full force dazzling light. Keeping us in awe
Revealing nothing, hiding her owls, foxes, and deer.
Keeping us safe from them and them from us.

Thank you Victor. I am loving winter in this way - I have twelve deer who come up, sneakily, and bash my bird feeders apart to eat all the seed. I love knowing the forest hides these huge creatures 99.9 percent of the time.

Connie, I do not usually use imagery, as it is difficult for me. It takes a lot of THOUGHT, and sometimes I just say "no! Let's not even try". This was a rare poem for me, my friend. I am so glad you recognized this.Thank you Connie!
