Scorn a Thorn

A rose has so many thistles
As sharp as fractured rock crystals
When my lady fair
Puts one in her hair
I stand well back and just whistles

I'm not an orchid fan as they are everywhere in Hawai'i, but the scent of carnations has always been welcome. My late wife, her mother, and my daughter, could not imagine life without their rose gardens which just appear threatening to me! Aloha! Rico
