Scientists and Statesmen

How many tested
  How many cried
How many infected
  How many died

How many cheated
  How many lied
How many tweeted
  It'll all pass us by

Why can't we defeat it
Is it really so odd ~
When scientists and statesmen
  Keep their distance from God

Gershon, yours is one of those poems that make me "wish I'd said that". I was just corresponding with Curtis Johnson and he and I did in fact talk in the manner you wrote in but it needs to be seen on Soup more often. When we post poems like yours and one that I wrote entitled, "I Hear God", we must believe that it could make a difference in someone's eternal destiny. Thank you so much for yours. It is just as JC said it is --- spot on! God Bless you, and you stay well my friend!

When scientists try to prove there is no God, the more they research, the more they become convinced that God exists. Your poem reminded me of this study I had read.

Interesting comment!! When people ask me to prove that God exists, my reply is "Prove He doesn't!." That usually does the trick! Stay healthy and take care. ~ Gershon

I agree my friend. The Bible tells us to draw near unto God and He will draw near unto us. Great job. God Bless, JB

There you go, Judy. You never know what intense prayer, and real tears to go with it can accomplish! Thanks, Gershon

That's right. This will, indeed, pass. Just wish it would 'pass over' in the spirit of the season. Blessings, Gershon

Hi Gershon, Why did they take so long to notice how serious the Coronavirus was? A potential threat turned out to be a deadly threat. I hope the scientists and statesman close their distance to God. Because we need a cure fast. Stay safe my friend- Alexis
