School Report

What was it that I did for such a bad report
I challenge you teacher to explain was my retort

Well you need to listen more
And not keep looking at the floor
You have the brains and capacity
To learn and achieve so much more

Did I listen no I did not
I just never gave a jot
I know now that I was wrong
And wish I had had my ears on

Because as you get older you realise
That school reports are the eyes
Which help you see your future and get on in life
