Scars

She jests at scars, That never knew war. She fights her battles, From behind bars, Locked away, Far from day. Nobody remembers real pain. Those locked away are numb, Only ever seeing the rain, Feeling the drops Aiding with their thoughts. Her past still haunts her. She's left to ponder, Why others never want her? Why it takes a while, Just to see her smile? Those laughs in the distance, Would soon be her ending. For, She jests at scars, That never knew war. She ponders, Why others never want her? Why it takes a while, Just to see her smile? Why she can't have her happily never after?
