Scars

Rain is pouring down,
Falling from the sky.
Tears are all that fall,
Straight from my eyes.

Ever since you left me,
My world has been flipped upside down.
I miss your smile, your laugh, and your voice,
And you just being around.

You said you’d always be here,
To watch and help me grow.
I want you to be here to teach me,
Everything I need to know.

But one day you decided,
That your life was just too tough.
So then you just figured,
That you’d had enough.

So you finally decided to take your own life,
Which really dimmed ours.
Now all that’s left,
Are scars on our hearts.
