You've hardly noticed me, not yet.
Don't worry, my love, I'm not upset.
One day you will and never forget. 
Tell me darling dear, have I got your ear?

Guess what?  I know everything about you.
All I do is think about you.
I cannot live one day without you,
Yes, you my darling dear, look in your rear-view mirror.

I'll smother you in my wet embrace. 
As your trembling outline, my fingers trace,
I'll curl your toes and lick your face. 
Oh, my darling dear, why must you shake in fear?

I could tell by the way you looked at me,
that you knew that it was only me,
the true love of your life, eternally. 
Why, my darling dear, did you choose to disappear?

You left me.  I can't believe you could,
poor little me, so misunderstood. 
Don't worry.  I made a puppet out of wood
who looks like you, darling dear, and I'm the puppeteer.

CayCay Godwin June 4, 2026 at 6:43 PM I'm a little bit scared, a little bit weirded out and a lot a bit entertained by your poem. yi yi yi. Puppets sometimes scare me and clowns always do. Hey, I'd like your take on DRIVE TIME TALE if you come a-callin' (some southern speak, oh, and it occurred to me that I never shared a very common one, "I was fixin' to" (my cousins and I all say that) David Crandall June 4, 2026 at 9:45 PM Haha, glad it affected and entertained you. The puppet was a last-minute thought, but I liked throwing it into the poem. I think it makes it look like the person speaking is truly mad. Uhuh, now that I know how you feel about puppets, I better not show you my prized puppet collection - lol.

David Crandall June 4, 2026 at 9:42 PM I think pretty soon I'll need more than two hands to count all the times you've helped me when I didn't carefully read the rules - so, thanks again - lol. As you can see, I changed the title. I was thinking of this coming from a female, but it could just as easily have been a male. Obsession can be any gender. So, I couldn't think of any female names except this corny one - lol.
