Scared

Once upon a time long ago
There was a man I loved so
But now you stand here in front of me
Saying it is not what you want it to be

How can you say after all we have been through
That this is not love and not what you want for you
What about to tears we have shared
And about all the times you said you cared

Where they all lies the nights we had together
Holding on tight to each other the storms we have weathered
Even though you say you are finished here
When I go to leave You stop me with such care

So why are you so confused by what you fill
I promise you my love is real
I think you are scared to show your heart
Afriad that it will be torn apart

You are not the only one with fears
I have shed many tears
wondering if this is a safe place to be
Here with you is where I want to be
