Say Yes

On a distant night in another world, The circumstance to become your girl, Didn't hit hard like a hurricane, Followed by the rush of the pouring rain. That washes away my soul, now lost. Your tongue like a nightmare, your words: frost. Feeling the barbed demon of your feelings, I lost control of my ambition, consciousness reeling. Nothing matters more, nothing else will. Make me feel alive, just your arms 'till, The morning sky lights up my room. What will it take for you to, "Say yes" Kaylee? Long walks late at night, Your fingertips in the firelight. We shouted so the world could know. There was no doubting it. You rocked my world for another night. Was it just a one-night invite? Could it be a love so misconstrued? We hadn't hit our prime yet. All alone now without you here. Thought about you for another year. The one thing still remains, The morning sun on my window pane. Bring me back to the one time. When I was the first, not the last in line. What will it take? What will it cost? To get you back; to hear you, "Say yes" Kaylee?
