Say Goodbye

Say goodbye
To who I once was
To who I wish to be
Say goodbye to that sunshiny girl
Say goodbye to the girl that always had a smile on her face
Say goodbye to that girl with no marks on her arms nor legs
To the girl with no emotional scars
To the girl that loved speaking
To the girl that made friends with everyone
To the girl that loved waking up in the morning
To the girl that didn’t hide her feelings
Say goodb
No
Don’t say goodbye
She is still here
Deep within me
She is hiding
Hiding in the shadows
Hiding away from the world
She only knew what the sun was
She knew neither pain nor sadness
That was til M came along
M
M for Mariah
The M that showed her what a storm was
The M that showed her that life had a downside
The M that told her to say goodbye
Say goodb
NO
DON’T say goodbye
She can make it
She will climb out this hole
She will come out the shadows
She will be her own flashlight
She will shine her way through the dark
She will fight
I will fight
She is me
I am her
We are we
And we will WIN this war
Don’t say goodbye
Don’t EVER say goodbye
