Savored Dream
My dreams take me to another place and time.
Escaping reality, easing the discomfort of life,
I fall into darkness, silent as a strolling mime.
Gradually the light grows, cutting like a knife.
Bridging the gap that swirls me deeply in sleep,
Eagerly I wait what my imagination will drive.
Will this one be delightful or cause me to weep.
Either way I crave the dreams for me to survive.
As I savor the repeated ones, I adore so much.
When I explore the details of each night, I see.
The information that is stored in the minds clutch.
My lucent dream of flying over both land and sea,
I await the beauty as I fly through the distant sky.
Along with the stars of a moonlit night so high,
Watching the clouds rolling as I continue by.
Echoed by a moonlit shadow, trailing as I fly,
These dreams so surreal to my ever-lucid mind,
Stay the insanity of my life within humankind.
