Saved By the Truth

A thump
of a gun shot
heard
when I died
I couldn't hold
my tongue
for truth
that I'd tried
Withered
as a rose
I am
on the ground
You'll search
for my blood
on the road
may be found
I am saved
by the truth
but you'll have to try
until the day you'll live
until the day I die
