Saved By God's Grace

Was feeling very lonely, felt lost.
Laid down to rest, could only toss.
I fell asleep, had a vision of the cross,
Because I sinned, Christ's life, was what it cost.

I heard a voice say, "Melanie, I died on this cross,
in return I could save you.
Why not lay your sins down at the cross,
and live for me right now, too?"

I burst into tears, shook my head said,
"Don't want to live this way anymore,
and can't take living like this before."
That day I prayed, as I bowed my head.

This time, I had left them at the cross,
no longer did I feel so very lost.
My sins could no longer be traced.
They were washed away
 by God's most amazing grace.

I awoke, tears running down my face,
thanked God for saving me.
Because of His most amazing grace,
in heaven, I will spend eternity.
Oh,what a wonderful and joyful day,
 that will forever be.
