Save Us

Lovingly I look
Flowers which I love are fading

Some humans try to save us
Others just abuse us

Honey’s not nearly as sweet when we’re dying
I hope you remember that crying
While your flowers ghost and mold
Your gardens die from growing old

And earth loses all flavor
But salt
And the sea
